Now, how about a few life updates. Joyce started her 18th(or is it 19th?) year of Christian pre-school in early January. I love hearing all the stories she has to tell about “her kids”. I’m so inspired by her and her tireless devotion to those little ones. Naomi has begun year 2 of her doctorate program at Mercer. The 1st year is supposed to be the most difficult and she’s glad that is now behind her. She gets to spend 2 days working with a forensic psychologist for her practicum. Time flies and before we know it she will be Dr. Naomi Jarrell. Lily is doing well. She will be changing schools in January and become a teachers aide for 3rd graders. New school. Older kids. New beginnings and challenges. All good though. Challenges make us grow. Noah. My guy has been busy. Here’s a secret(shhhhh!): Noah has written a children’s Christmas book. It is currently with The publisher. We are praying-and keeping fingers and toes crossed- that we will have books in hand come December 1st. We are so proud of him. He has done all of the work. All 12 chapters, all art work, you name it.

Also, Noah, Joyce and I started the Aspirations program, at the Nisonger Center, at Ohio State. It is an in-depth 12 week program for young adults with autism and their parents/caregivers. It has been a very good experience both Noah and for us. We are so thankful for the multitude of resources here in Columbus for Noah. Answered prayer for sure.

Lastly, me. Retired, As you know, I stopped working directly with clients on May 15th. Then on August 3rd, we did the formal sale of my practice to Sara, Dan and JD. The last step was on August 31st. That was my last day as a financial advisor. Surrendered all of my licenses. Woke up the next morning and…no corporate email. No access to client or corporate information. Weird. That feeling(weird) has now gone away. It is weird that a chapter of my life, that lasted almost 38 years, is over. Gone. Just memories. Wonderful memories. Now, it is time to write a new chapter. I’m not in a hurry though. I’m going to let life simmer and see what God has planned for me. My constant prayer has been that my eyes and heart are open. I am willing.

I hope you know how much you mean to me. I’m a person that needs to stay “connected”, and through this blog, you allow me to do just that. Don’t be a stranger. Email me. Text me. Even better, pick up the phone and give me a call.😊 I love you.

Be well,

jeff
