Blog…life

Hello friends!(can’t you JUST hear Jim Nantz saying that on Sunday afternoon in April?❤️⛳️).

It’s been a minute. Busy summer for me. How about you. I thought I’d take today to catch up on “life” and, at the end, provide a little love and inspiration. Let’s go!

We will start with the biggest “deal” I have worked on in my career: retiring. many of you saw my Facebook post back at the beginning of this month referring to “365 days”. It’s true. Next August 3rd is it. Done. “Dun.” Finished. Retired. Well, kinda. I view retirement as a shift. I’ll be shifting into other areas that I am passionate about and hope that I can make a difference. I’ve already begun in one of those areas, being a volunteer at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. I love it there. Feel called to be there.❤️

Joyce begins here 16th(maybe 15th) year of Christian pre-school next week. Talk about making a difference! She is so inspiring to me.

Naomi recently moved to Atlanta and, last week, began her doctorate program. 5 years. Will be Dr. Jarrell(do I have to call her that? She’ll always be sweet pea to me.)

By God’s grace and provision we are, slowly, re-developing(I am really at a loss for the right word here) our relationship with Lily. We are so thankful that she has begun on-line classes in childhood education and that she continues to get valuable hands-on experience in her job.

Noah continues to have an impact on those he encounters. His work with Upper Arlington Parks & Rec has been remarkable. We are so thankful for the services he receives here, as an adult with autism. We are praying that, through one of the programs, he gets a “buddy” and can develop and grow that friendship/relationship.🙏

How about you? I’d love it if you send me a text or pick up the phone and give me call. I’d love to hear how YOU are doing.

Coldplay. If you know me, you know I just love this musical group. Going to a Coldplay concert is AN EVENT. 2 of my favorites songs are “Yellow” and “Fix You”. Here’s a snip it of the lyrics from each:

Yellow:” Look at the stars, look how they shine for you, and everything you do, Yeah, they were all yellow.” ‘ Your skin, oh yeah your skin and bones, turn into something beautiful, and you know, you know I love you so, you know I love you so.”

Fix You: “And high up above or down below, when you’re too in love to let it go, but if you never try, you’ll never know, just what you’re worth.”

Two HUGE hits. Two of their most popular songs. I just love the words. Take the music/sound away and just listen to, or read, the words. You ARE something beautiful. You DO need to “just try”, for YOU are worth it.

I love you,

Jeff
