I know, I know. “Jeff, where ‘ya been?!” It’s been a bit longer than I’d like since we last spoke.
So, I thought I’d take this moment to catch up and fill you in on what has been going on. let’s “ramble on”: it is now the unofficial start of summer. Pool parties, beach-or mountain-or wherever-trips. Cookouts. Watermelon. Amusement parks. You name it, we all love to go and do during the summer. I’m no different. Noah went with me on a business trip to DC. Fun time. Learned a little, made a great connection and shared new experiences with Noah. Home for a few days then Joyce, Noah and I visited the Toledo Zoo for the 1st time. Overly impressed! So clean. Lots of flowers and very friendly. Definitely will return.
Next up, a quick business trip to Myrtle Beach in June, then Nashville in July for a Coldplay concert. OH BOY! I cannot wait. Oh, and I am going to practice round at the US Open in Pittsburgh in a couple of weeks. Fun!
My health. I am feeling better than I have in years. So thankful. So blessed. Now, I have many aches and pains(don’t we all?), but they are mostly due to increased exercise and activity. For those of you wondering, the answer is YES, I still sound like a bowl of Rice Krispies when I get out of bed in the morning. LOl!
I can’t believe it’s now been 2 years since I Sold my half of Jarrell Black & Co. (only the benefits side if the business). Sadly, then name has changed and the employees are gone. Oh well. God’s timing was, as always, perfect. I’ve spent the last 2 1/2 years incorporating my Mass Mutual team into the framework of my client relationships and I now look towards exit stage right(or is it left?) next year. This is year 37. Next year will be 38 years in the business. The business of caring for others. Helping them achieve their goals and dreams. Crying tears and both sadness and joy with them(you). And trust me, I have loved every minute of it.❤️
Joyce thinks I’m goofy. I LOVE playing the credit card “points game”. She recently came home from running errands one day and I told her, “I got you a new credit card today”. “Why”, she says. Well, because you get 100,000 Marriott points once you spend a certain amount of $ AND, those points are…transferable! To me, of course. You see. My sister, Jennifer, and I are going back to Europe next May. This will be my 4th time going across the pond and I’ve rarely paid for more than 2-3 nights out of pocket on a 2 week trip. This next trip, the goal is to get all 13 nights FREE. Love it. Joyce…I just get her rolling her eyes and shaking her head at her goofy(but oh so lovable) husband. 😉
Did a tell you that I am now a “Wayfinding Volunteer” at Nationwide Children’s Hospital? Yep, one day a week for 2 hours. Kinda like a personal concierge. NCH is such an amazing place. Many of you know that Noah also volunteers there as Woody Woodpecker. Fell in love when I started taking him there for his “gig”. Hoping God uses me in His way, for His purpose at this new opportunity.
I think we are mostly caught up for now. I hope and pray you are well. In a good place. A place filled with love, happiness and joy.
Be well,
Jeff
