I love Saturday mornings. The whole day, in general. It’s a different feel a different vibe. What about you?
This Saturday morning is a bit different. I’m sitting in Starbucks(that’s NOT different!) while Babs(Joyce) is getting her hair done/did. Lol! Just me and coffee and these random thoughts popping in my head like popcorn.
Some thoughts and things that I’ve experienced since the last time we talked…
-“I love you”. I’ve been blessed in that 3 clients and friends have told me how much they love me. I know, I know. Jeff, you’re being too sappy. Nope. Being told by someone that you are loved, for who you are, is powerful. Endorphins are released and you get all those good feels. I believe it works just the same when YOU tell someone that you love THEM. Try it out. Be genuine. Don’t be afraid to tell someone how much you care about them. The world is missing this today. We don’t do it nearly enough. So, “I love you”.😘
- Last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending the 3rd “Party for Parkinson’s”, in the community of Habersham, SC. Habersham is the cutest little community. They shut down Market Street, their main street, and turn it into a magical place for 4 hours. One of my very best friends, Scott Rider, is the vision and inspiration behind the event. It’s a fundraiser for the Parkinson’s Foundation. To me, it really is a place of love, hope and inspiration. What IS possible. Being around those folks Saturday evening opened my eyes to what IS possible. Living life to its fullest, no matter the circumstance. No matter the obstacle in yours or my way. ❤️
- Strange. That trip last weekend went off without a hitch. If you recall, I recently published d a blog about my tricky, whacky travels. Not this time! Am I jinxing myself?
- Joy. What gives you joy? Not happiness. Not being content, which is usually very short-lived. No, joy. That feeling that is deep inside of you. That feeling that lasts. Gives you all the feels. All the ‘good vibrations”. One thing that gives mine joy is helping someone. Serving them. It can many different shapes and forms. I ALWAYS walk away form this type of situation feeling light. Happy. Energized. Joyful. 😊
One last thing, a request. My main guy, Noah, has a big appointment coming up on Wednesday. Could be a great opportunity for him in the community. May or may not involve him dressing up like his favorite feather friend Woody Woodpecker. I know. This may sound trivial to some of you, but it goes back to that word…joy. This is something that truly brings him joy, and those he encounters as well.
That’s all for this Saturday morning friend. Have a great weekend. I love you.
Be well,
Jeff
